Waterworks Food Hall is the culmination of eight years of extensive research and inspiration from renowned food halls in London, Copenhagen, Madrid, New York, Chicago, Lisbon, and beyond.

A culinary destination.

Celebrating the rich tapestry of Toronto’s diverse food scene, the food hall features over 15 culinary artisans serving a variety of specialty dishes, from Japanese ramen to Pakistani stuffed naans to flame-seared sushi, burgers, tacos, deli and BBQ fare and more. Each vendor is hand-selected to offer a unique taste of their heritage alongside local specialties. Meet our food artisans

Built for our community.

More than a food hall, Waterworks embodies Toronto’s heritage by preserving the unique characteristics of our architecture while creating vibrant spaces for generations to come. From lunches with colleagues to dinner with friends and celebrations over cocktails, the food hall promises to be a landmark destination and a vibrant gathering spot in the heart and soul of Toronto’s King West.

Illuminating art

Suspended high above the food hall is an ambitious art installation featuring the work of thirteen diverse artists from across Canada. Painted directly onto spheres, the artworks range from richly-hued and joyous abstractions to playful and dynamic graphic illustrations. These illuminated art-led orbs reflect the vibrancy of Toronto and the vibrancy of the Waterworks Food Hall.

Meet the artists
"Toronto has been on an upscale food-hall tear...and the 55,000-square-foot Waterworks Food Hall is the showiest one yet….this handsome retrofit of a circa 1930s machine shop now has new life coursing through its sturdy structural bones."
