This Nuit Blanche, Waterworks Food Hall transforms into a late-night hub of light, sound, and experience. Step inside and explore three immersive installations while enjoying eats and drinks from Toronto’s most exciting chefs and vendors.

With Strangers is hosting an interactive activation where guests are invited to pause, sit with strangers, and answer a series of playful and reflective prompts that spark conversation. Each response contributes to a growing collaborative installation; a living archive of Toronto’s joy, resilience, and imagination.

“The Poetry Dispensary” by Marc Nair is a durational performance of on-the-spot, customized haiku. The poem will be produced on a typewriter and presented as a keepsake to the audience.

The Poetry Dispensary will take place in the Civil Works bar at Waterworks.

“Letters to Your Ex” by WhyWithCai is an interactive Nuit Blanche installation featuring hundreds of letters to exes from around the world, ranging from crushes, situationships, or exclusive relationships. Guests are invited to read, reflect, and write their own letter – choosing to add it to the collection or shred it.

Letters to Your Ex will take place in the East Annex at Waterworks.

“MOVES” by Tara Rose Morris transforms Waterworks into an ever expanding digital dance floor through animated projections over the course of Nuit Blanche. Through both pre-recorded submissions and live participation on the night, community members contribute their dances to an animated composition of moves. As the digital dance floor develops throughout the night, it becomes a living archive of our city’s collective movement.

MOVES will take place in the Reception Hall at Waterworks.
